A Reckoning is the debut solo poetry collection by poet and editor Nicole Pomeroy. Written in three sections (Fathers, Lovers, A Reckoning), the collection explores themes of the violence inflicted by the patriarchy in both large and small ways. Through different types of relationships—from familial to romantic to the connection to self—the collection peels back the muddy layers of trauma in search of resolution.
